Title: ‘Void in our landscapes’
During COVID-19, migrant workers are the hardest hit community living amongst us. The void in this landscape art symbolises the impact of Covid-19 on the migrant workers, as well as the impact on our landscapes and the built environment. This art piece is composed using ink, water colour and digital media. The different technique used in this art piece represents the different skillsets of the migrant workers from different background and different countries coming together to build our beautiful landscapes.
Bio:
Damian Tang is the former president of Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects and IFLA Asia-Pacific region. He is also the Senior Design Director at National Parks Board. He is a self-taught artist with passion for architecture and landscape design. He has served both the local and international landscape industry for more than seventeen years.
